Baker News

A MESSAGE FROM THE NURSE

All current 6th grade students entering 7th grade for the 2017-2018 school year must have either a Tdap (Tetanus, diphtheria and acellular pertussis), or a Td (Tetanus, diphtheria) booster shot. This requirement has been effective since the 2010-2011 school year. In addition, new during the 2016-2017 school year was the Ohio Department of Health requirement to have all 7th and 12th grade students vaccinated against meningococcal disease. The school must have documentation of these 2 immunizations by August 2017. Failure to provide proof of these state mandated shots is cause for exclusion from school. If you have any questions concerning these requirements please contact our school nurse, Mrs. Guarnieri at Jodi.Guarnieri@mathewslocal.org.
